The second edition of the "Romanian Markets Day", organized by Berenberg and IEBA Trust, took place on 17 and 18 May 2017 in London, in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The event aims to attract foreign investors interested in our country and the business opportunities that Romania's favourable economic climate can offer.

Thus, representatives of Romanian and foreign companies, international financial institutions, government officials, brokers, bankers and private investors had the opportunity to discuss openly about Romania's economic outlook, the fiscal framework, the future IPOs of state owned companies on the stock exchange, as well as external influences, possible threats to the budget deficit and the state's financial resources.

"Beyond the favourable macroeconomic situation that our country enjoys, is more important that we are in a period of political stability and opportunity, which gives us an advantage in addition to our regional competitors. We have all the premises to achieve the projects and measures that the Government has assumed in its mandate, and another aspect to take into account in your analysis is Romania's firm commitment to membership and its role in the European community, "said Dan Mihalache, Romania's Ambassador to London.

Sustained efforts in the recent years made by Romania in the course of his economic development and public administration reform have also been recognized by the foreign side, positioning us as the country with the fastest economic growth in Europe.

Compared to the first edition of the event in 2016, this year, the number of participating companies was almost double, a sign of increased appetite from investors for Romania. On behalf of the Romanian delegation, was also Mr. Daniel Daianu, member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania, together with Attila Gyorgy, State Secretary of  the Ministry of Public Finance.
